Considerate Fiscal Leadership

I encourage voters to join me in supporting Robert Hartmann, Jr., for the Board of Finance this November.

Bob grew up in Guilford and has a good sense of how to apply the knowledge and skills he has learned in more than 40 years’ experience in finance, business, tax, town boards, and charitable organizations. He comes from a family who have been active and consistent contributors to our town. Bob understands the value of a strong and vibrant community and the responsibilities that maintaining a healthy community requires.

Every successful community requires prudent and considerate fiscal leadership, providing defense from the pitfalls of expanded budgets or spending practices. As we, the taxpayers, here in Guilford weather the present peak years of new high school expense, we must position ourselves for a successful future. We have citizens to protect and serve, children to educate, and services to maintain for all age groups, all the while trying to reduce the burden on the taxpayers and maintaining property values. I believe Bob understands this balancing act and has the experience to work with all elected officials to ensure Guilford’s future success.

This is a critical time for successful towns in Connecticut as they face increasing demands from Hartford to fend for themselves. Robert Hartmann, Jr., possesses the vision to keep Guilford financially sound. I look forward to seeing him join our Board of Finance.
