Time, Effort, and Pride

I am running to be re-elected as a commissioner on the Old Saybrook Harbor Management Commission. Old Saybrook’s waterfront and harbors are a town treasure that need to be properly managed and enhanced. I presently serve as the chairman of the commission, after being elected to that position by members of both parties, and am excited to continue in that role. I put a lot of time, effort, and pride into my work on the commission and would very much appreciate your readers’ votes and support on Election Day.

The future success of the commission is dependent on the strengths of the individual commissioners. The slate of candidates on both sides of the aisle is strong and the town is fortunate to have so many qualified candidates to pick from. There is no bad choice. However, it would be remiss not to highlight Lou Vinciguerra’s experience. In summary, Lou is a recently retired Coast Guard Academy graduate with more than 35 years in the Coast Guard specializing in marine construction. Lou’s experience is spot-on and he would be an excellent addition to the commission.

Finally, we are fortunate to have Carl Fortuna serving as our first selectman. It is obvious the town is well run. Improvements can be spotted all over town and the town’s finances are quite obviously well managed. Re-election of Carl and his team of Selectman Scott Giegerich and Treasurer Bob Fish will ensure Old Saybrook is the town we are all proud and lucky to live in.
