The Highest Ideal

I encourage your readers to join me in voting for Robert J. Hartmann, Jr., for election to the Guilford Board of Finance on Nov. 5.

As a member of this community, Robert has dedicated much time to serving the town through his work on the Pension Committee, Town Facilities Task Force, and many other community service activities. Robert encouraged me to become a Rotarian and join the Guilford Rotary. I was thrilled to witness his receiving the Paul Harris Award this past June. The Paul Harris Fellowship Award is one of the highest honors Rotary can bestow upon a person. Recipients are Rotarians and community professionals awarded in recognition of their outstanding contributions and for exemplifying the highest ideal in Rotary in placing “service above self.”

I am fairly new to Guilford, but from the start I have been impressed with Robert’s view of consolidating town facilities and assets to save taxes. His work on the Facilities Task Force has given him firsthand knowledge of how to go about this.

I encourage your readers to reach out to him to discuss what his financial views are and why he is running for the Board of Finance, and to get out and vote on Nov. 5 for Robert J. Hartmann, Jr., for Guilford Board of Finance.
