Bring That Balance

My name is Alec Martin. I’m running for the position of alternate on the Killingworth Planning & Zoning Commission on the Democratic line. This will be my second term.

I have lived in Killingworth since 1978, when Mary, my wife, and I married. I run a small handyman business here in Killingworth, Help is on the Way. I went to architectural school in New York City, where I studied everything from surveying to design to zoning laws, all relevant to planning and zoning. I went on to work as a draftsman in several New York City architectural and engineering offices.

Killingworth is growing and changing. I like growth and change. I also like the ambiance of Killingworth; the balance of which is a function of the zoning regulations. They are tremendously important; they consider and bring that balance to what is best for the community when it comes to the impact of projects and situations on the town.
