Promote Smart Growth

I am writing to ask residents of Old Saybrook to support me in my candidacy to be elected as a member of the town’s Planning Commission. I have served on this body as an alternate member since 2018.

Before moving to Old Saybrook, I worked as an attorney for the City of Hartford and later the state’s Office of Policy and Management. In these roles, I frequently was called upon to handle many of my client’s most challenging real estate and economic development projects. I am seeking to be elected as a full member of the Planning Commission so that I may bring this experience to bear on behalf of the town and, in so doing, to help promote smart growth while simultaneously maintaining the town’s character and quality of life.

I also am writing to encourage your readers to support both Carl Fortuna, in his bid to be re-elected as the town’s first selectman, along with Scott Giegerich, in his efforts to be re-elected as an additional selectman. Both Carl and Scott effectively have led our town for the past eight years. In their respective capacities, they successfully have moved this town forward by improving our schools, public safety, infrastructure, recreation, the business environment, and Town Hall. Furthermore, thanks to their efforts, we still enjoy a mill rate that is recognized as one of the lowest in the state!

I encourage your readers to vote for Carl and Scott, and the rest of the Republican ticket, including Treasurer Bob Fish and me, this November.
