Doesn’t Happen by Accident

Old Saybrook is a great place to live—great services, fine schools, and many other attributes. This is combined with low taxes. This does not happen by accident. Two critical areas that contribute to excellent community are public safety and strong fiscal accountability.

During this year’s search for candidates to run for office, many qualified people stepped up. You may not recognize the names because they are not the same people running for office over and over again. These are fresh faces and highly accomplished professionals and executives.

For this reason, I would strongly encourage a positive vote for Susan Quish, Jeff Jordan, Carl Van Dassel, and Joe Maselli for our Police Commission and also a vote for Carol Rzasa, Rick Swan, and Tom Stevenson for Finance Board. Readers may visit the Old Saybrook Republican Town Committee website to learn more about them—they, too, will be impressed. All are running as volunteers as part of Republican team that has kept Old Saybrook a great place to live for two decades.
