Will Ensure the Safety

My name is Jennifer L. Liptak and I am a candidate for the Killingworth Board of Fire Commissioners.

I moved to Killingworth in 2012 and although I wasn’t born in Killingworth, my daughters and I still call Killingworth our home. We love our neighbors, the overall sense of community no matter where you are in town, and the commitment we’ve witnessed by our volunteer fire company and town representatives.

In order to give back to Killingworth, I have been serving on the Haddam-Killingworth High School (HKHS) Project Graduation Committee as the business donations volunteer. In this role, I worked with many local and county-wide businesses on donations to support our annual post-graduation event to keep our graduates safe!

In 2018, I was appointed to the Killingworth Board of Fire Commissioners. Since that time, I have worked with both the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Company (KVFC), the Board of Selectmen, and Board of Finance on many projects that are important for the safety of our town’s members and the volunteers of the KVFC.

I have two daughters, Sam and Jhenna, who are recent graduates from the Haddam-Killingworth High School. They both attend American University in Washington, D.C.

I am a graduate of the University of Maryland and the University of Phoenix, with a master’s degree in management and public administration. I work for Pfizer, Inc., as a medical quality oversight director, out of Groton.

I am now up for election to the Board of Fire Commissioners. In this role, I will ensure the safety of the residents of Killingworth and the members of our volunteer Fire Company is always first.

It would be a privilege to continue to serve on the Killingworth Board of Fire Commissioners.
