I wholeheartedly endorse Peter Niles for a four-year term on the Clinton police commission.

Peter currently serves as chairman, and during his tenure the Clinton Police Department has been recognized as exemplary. He has overseen the hiring of an outstanding police chief, Vincent DeMaio. Guided by the commission and led by Chief DeMaio, our police department has become deeply involved in community outreach, has raised money to fund extraordinary programs that enhance the public, and restructured our force to increase effectiveness and diminish overtime, and that has made Clinton safer.

Peter Niles’s vision and dedication to Clinton’s citizens as chairman of the Clinton Board of Police Commissioners provides a strong foundation for the growth and effectiveness of police services in Clinton. Having served on the commission for the past two years, I have learned from Peter’s expertise and relied on his sound judgment.

Electing Peter Niles to another term on the Police Commission will be one of the most reasoned votes I’ve ever made.
