Energetic and Dedicated

I have been a resident in North Haven for 20 years. I was appalled in learning through the July 25 edition of the Courier that Fire Commissioner Peter Criscuolo was not renominated for another term [“Dems Won’t Challenge Freda in First Selectman Race”].

No one has done more for the North Haven Fire Department than Pete. He has raised more than $100,000 for new equipment that was above and beyond the municipal appropriation. He is a true civil servant in that he lives, breathes, and works the responsibilities of his office. Most important, the fire fighters who risk their lives daily to protect the people of our community have confidence in him and support him.

I therefore urge all eligible voters to come out on primary day and re-elect Peter Criscuolo as fire commissioner. The fire service is so important that we must retain the leadership of this energetic and dedicated individual.
