Excited About the Challenges

I am writing in support of Jennifer Caldwell’s candidacy for the Democratic nomination for the North Haven Fire Commission. Jennifer is the official, party-endorsed candidate, and there will be a primary on Tuesday, Sept. 10. I encourage all North Haven Democrats to vote; all polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Jennifer has the education, background, and work experience to make an effective fire commissioner. Her extensive experience in the medical field makes her uniquely qualified given the fact that about 65 percent of all fire department calls are for emergency medical services.

Jennifer served six years on the North Haven Board of Education, and she understands the time commitment necessary to be a member of such an important commission. In recent years, the fire department has been at the center of budgetary discussions. Jennie’s service on the Board of Ed has prepared her for the challenges of balancing the needs of a town department with concern for the burdens on our taxpayers.

Jennifer Caldwell is excited about the challenges ahead, and I am confident that she will bring a fresh and vibrant approach, that is so desperately needed, to our fire commission. I encourage your readers to vote on Sept. 10.
