Listen to the People

I like reading that people in Clinton are speaking up about how unfair it is that this town has never had a senior center. We need more affordable housing for seniors, too. Clinton has a town government we elect every two years to make sure we have police and fire protection, schools, snowplows, and all the other services.

The Board of Selectmen should to do the right thing. The selectmen need to listen to the people. We aren’t asking for much at all. We aren’t asking for a building to be built or lots of staff to be hired. All we want is one of our existing buildings in a great location, the Annex, to be named the Clinton Senior Center.

We need a cook for the lunches and maybe breakfasts. Is that asking so much? Did you know we are the only town on the shoreline without a senior center?
