In All Its Splendor

Wow! The 56th annual Arts & Crafts Festival held on July 27 and 28 on the Old Saybrook Town Green was a huge success. We greeted thousands of attendees, many of whom discovering Old Saybrook for the very first time. The weather was beautiful and the town was in all its splendor, organizations working collaboratively to present this signature summer event.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the many hands that continually make this event possible: the Old Saybrook Board of Education, Old Saybrook Public Works and Parks & Recreation departments, Old Saybrook Boy Scout Troop #51, Old Saybrook Police Department, The Kate, the Rotary Club of Old Saybrook, Old Saybrook Lions Club, Old Saybrook Knights of Columbus Fr. Hussion Council 2968, Democratic Town Committee, WBMW—Teresa Berry, judges Judy Perry and Janine Robertson, and the 50-plus volunteers.

A huge thank you goes to the event’s sponsors: Liberty Bank, Fitzgerald Painting, Renewal by Andersen, The Kate, and Full Power Radio.

One of our artists who has been exhibiting with us for five years had this to say: “Beautiful venue, well-run event, draws large crowds—one of my best events of the year!”
