High Integrity and Character

I wasn’t going to play this game, but I feel compelled to respond to some of Steve Tracey’s campaign comments.

He said he has a plan to bring in more business, which will produce more jobs, yet he fails to even give a hint on how he could do what no other economic developer hired has been able to do. Maybe he is special.

He said he will improve the education system. I guess he hasn’t been instructed that a mayor has no involvement with the Board of Education. But, shouldn’t he know that already being on the Town Council?

He said he has a plan to fix the beach parking issue, but that plan will not work. Tracey said he has led the way on the Town Council, but in reviewing the minutes of the meetings he has attended, the only thing he has done is second motions made by others. That’s not leading the way.

Tracey said he will hold the line on taxes, yet hasn’t seen any future budgets. Maybe he can see into the future. Tracey has been uttering the same old political pandering for votes statements, promising big changes and a brighter future if elected, and that only he can fix East Haven.

Sal Maltese has made no political promises. What he has said is he will use his vast financial experience to keep East Haven in a positive mode.

He will push the Town Council members to fix problems, for that’s their job and why they were elected. Fixing the beach issues will take an ordinance and he will look at making certain streets for residents only.

Who is Sal Maltese? A man of high integrity and character and who will bring those traits back to the office of the mayor.
