On July 16, I attended the Madison Republican convention where a slate of candidates for local boards was chosen. I am extremely proud of the group of candidates that we endorsed to lead our town over the next few years.

This slate represents a broad spectrum of our community. Seniors, parents and business owners are all represented. At a time when we all find ourselves just too busy, it was heartening to see so many Madison residents stepping up and offering to serve.

Like many of us, I am deeply concerned about what is happening here in Connecticut. I am tired of seeing friends moving out of state. More than ever, we need people who will represent all of us. Small towns like Madison can lead our state’s turn around. Over the next few months, I encourage your readers to get to know our Republican team. Led by Tom Banisch, they are ready to serve us all.
