Problems Were Addressed

I want to commend the leadership that Tom Banisch has shown over the last two weeks with regard to the issues that arose over the Independence Day weekend with access to the beach. Like any on-boarding process, there were a few kinks that needed to be worked out and Tom Banisch and the Beach & Recreation Department worked together to solve them. All of the individuals involved were attempting to make the payment process for residents and guests more efficient.

Tom Banisch’s response was to call emergency meetings for the Beach & Rec and Board of Selectmen committees to imminently address concerns. Problems were addressed, solutions were reached, and new policies were implemented.

When I visited East Wharf on Saturday, Mr. Banisch was manning the booth personally to explain the new system to all visitors to the beach. Well done.
