A Magical Time in Madison

The evening of July 13 was a magical time in Madison. The town came alive in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock Festival with a wonderful Concert on the Green.

Almost 2,000 people attended, many of them dancing on their (bare) feet enjoying the music of the group Back to the Garden 1969, which evoked the original music of Woodstock beautifully and authentically. It was heartwarming to see people of all ages (many of whom were actually at Yasgur’s Farm 50 years ago) come together in celebration on a perfect summer evening.

The concert was made possible by the generosity of the Madison Chamber of Commerce, along with sponsors Ciao Bella, East Shore Mortgage, Essex Savings Bank, Friedler Dental Group, Gedney Kitchens, Hammonasset Dental, The Homestead Bed & Breakfast, J Horton Store, Life Full Yoga, Madison Beach Hotel, Madison Chrysler Jeep, Madison Financial Planning, Madison Foundation, Mosquito Joe, and Pinder Law Office.
