Fun and Educational

In Guilford, on April 27, there was an event, The Big Sleep Out, about homelessness. We (ages 12 and 9) earned stamps at activities like learning about advocacy with our state legislators (eight stamps) and lost stamps at other activities like eating dinner (25 stamps). We learned about homelessness and listened to someone talk about their experience of homelessness. At another activity we learned about families that experience food insecurity. You can also better understand being homeless by sleeping in boxes on the green if you want to.

The Big Sleep Out was very fun and educational. We recommend this event to all members of the public next year.
