Just More Spending

In response to State Senator Norm Needleman’s May 23 opinion “State Budget Cannot Be Taken Lightly,” I agree with Mr. Needleman that the state budget cannot be taken lightly. However, what he talks about is just more spending and taxing.

The Appropriations Committee funding of programs sounds good, but where is the money going to come from to pay for “millions of dollars” that the “Democratic state budget” is providing? Of course we all know it means more taxes for the state taxpayers.

It is time to seriously consider cutting down on spending. We all know or should know that Connecticut is in dire financial debt. Higher taxes are just going to drive more people out of this state. Additionally, Governor Ned Lamont and Democratic lawmakers’ unilateral agreement for a public option health insurance is no more than an expansion of Obamacare. Again, more taxes and the beat goes on.
