A Date Change

There has been a date change. In my letter published April 18 [“Community Gives Support”], incorrect dates were listed for the next Scranton Library Friends (SLF) Book Sale. The correct dates are Friday and Saturday, June 21 and 22 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and on Sunday, June 23 between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Our community has followed the SLF book sales with great interest over many years. The Scranton Library property is now fenced in and the construction of our new library is well underway. The SLF has decided that having several small books sales is wise as our space is very limited.

Your readers can donate at their convenience. There are no donation hours. New donations are arriving daily. Inventory is renewing every day. Great books keep arriving and we’re thrilled. We thank all who have donated.

We continue to be located at 114A Bradley Road, behind the old Tuxis Laundromat. Our current plan is to remain at our temporary location until we’re able to move into our new space within the new library—and that means a few more book sales are in our future.
