The Most Important Tool

I am an education advocate. Education advocates in Clinton have long been accused of taking an education-at-any-cost position, as we try to pass the budgets each year. This is not true. I would argue that we believe our elected representative Board of Education makes strong decisions to ensure the proper education of our students. Education is an obligation of us as a society and I would argue that education is the most important tool we have available to us as a community.

Education is central to reducing poverty; it affords people the opportunity to earn higher-paying jobs and greater financial stability. Education is critical for the prevention of crime, by keeping young people challenged and engaged. Education is the foundation upon which all economic growth is built. This is what Clinton needs both now and in the future. This is what I advocate for. This is what I encourage your readers to consider as they cast their ballots—to join in supporting education and our community by voting “Yes.” “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”—Nelson Mandela. Let us change the world!
