Do Something Different

I challenge my fellow residents of Madison to do something different with two hours on Sunday, March 24. I challenge my community to turn off the golf matches, forgo the movies and turn off the TV, and show their support of our Scranton Library by attending the final of three wonderful concerts that are being presented by two young women, students of Daniel Hand High School.

In doing so they’ll support something that is as important as DHHS Football, spend an hour enriching their lives, and bring their parents and their children and their grandchildren to hear amazing music in a historic setting.

I challenge your readers to come and bring a friend to the First Congregational Church of Madison, 26 Meetinghouse Lane, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 to hear Claire and Aimee Chang perform on violin and piano. These talented sisters have already shared their gifts at two previous benefit concerts this winter. It has been totally jaw-dropping to hear the beautiful playing of these amazing musicians.

Claire and Aimee are giving back to our community at these concerts in support of the Scranton Library, which was a source of enrichment much appreciated when they moved to Madison in 2010.
