Progressive, Democratic Principles

Most East Haven voters have an important special election on Tuesday, Feb. 26. Josh Balter is running for the General Assembly seat vacated by James Albis. The 99th District spoke loudly and clearly in November when we returned James Albis to his seat in Hartford. His progressive, Democratic principles made East Haven proud.

Josh Balter won the unanimous endorsement of East Haven’s Democratic Party to represent the 99th. He is a Navy combat veteran and a lawyer who practices family law. His grandchildren attend East Haven schools.

Josh will promote the progressive goals that James fought for: supporting paid family leave, increasing the minimum wage, protecting our beautiful shore, and addressing the state’s budget woes. Balter’s positions have earned him the endorsement of the Working Families Party.

February is a tough time of year to mount a short campaign. I encourage your readers to visit “Balter for East Haven” on Facebook to help the campaign and, most important, mark their calendars to vote for Josh Balter on Tuesday Feb. 26—they can bring their friends and neighbors to the polls to repeat the strong Democratic message we sent in November.
