Fantastic, Brilliant People

If you missed the Madison Historical Society’s Holiday Lantern tour on Dec. 14, then you missed something special. I’m so grateful my husband, daughter, and I decided last minute to add it to our busy week because it was truly the highlight. Not knowing what to expect during the lantern tour of Madison’s beautifully lit Green and surroundings, it was that much more exciting when we were greeted by costumed period actors who guided our small groups through Madison’s centuries of living on our treasured shoreline. Thanks go to all of the families who opened their magnificent and wonderfully decorated historic homes to us. More important, I thank them for maintaining and cherishing the historic values and wonders of these pieces of history for all to view and enjoy.

Finally, there isn’t enough praise I can give to all of the fantastic, brilliant people of the Madison Historical Society who made that event happen. It was a phenomenal idea that was so perfectly executed by all, and blessed by perfect December weather!
