Families Need Our Help

For many of us, the holiday season is a time filled with the hustle and bustle of planning and parties, the magic of decorations and lights, and the welcomed excuse to slow down and enjoy time with family and friends. For me, and I am sure for many of your readers, the season of giving and stopping to reflect and be thankful for the many blessings we all share is a welcome shift from our daily routines.

As we begin this holiday season, I ask that the community remembers Women & Family Life Center. In 2018, with generous gifts, the community supported 18 programs and hosted 800 groups that served more than 1,200 women and children. Donors provided services for 32 domestic violence cases that impacted 35 children.

Through our Guided Assistance Program, donors worked with 150 participants. More than 80 of these people required in-depth counseling, housing and medical assistance.

Donors gave 105 individuals access to legal and financial education, allowing them to navigate divorce and child custody issues and address debt consolidation. Together, we can give the gift of hope to even more women and children on the shoreline.

These families need our help this holiday season. By making a donation now, supporters can provide our neighbors access to resources that will help them achieve their full potential. No one can face adversity alone; we can make sure that this holiday season no one has to.
