On behalf of Griswold American Legion Post 79 and VFW Post 2096, we would like to thank all the Madison schools and nursing homes for embracing us during the Veterans Day week. We had the honor of visiting eight nursing homes and schools. Each school made us feel special with its individual programs. Our veterans were overwhelmed.

Thanks go to Daniel Hand High School Tigers, not only on a great win, but honoring us the night of the football game, where they did us proud. Although the weather did not cooperate, the team was so gracious in welcoming us. We hope they use their donated body/hand warmers well.

Thanks go to the Town of Madison and First Selectman Tom Banisch for taking part at an outstanding service to our veterans on the Madison Green. We had a large crowd and it was truly an honor to see everyone supporting us.
