I write to endorse and encourage support for Matt Pugliese for the 23rd State Assembly seat! He is a new person to politics, and does not follow a party line in his beliefs. I have been very impressed with Matt as I have watched him go door to door visiting more than 4,000 homes in the 23rd District.

He is concerned about healthcare for all, and supports the expansion of Connecticut’s Medicaid programs and moving to a single-payer system for the state.

Matt wants to work toward reducing government bureaucracy and red tape that hinders growth for small businesses.

He is a person who is willing to reach across party lines for the betterment of the people of the 23rd, and the people of the whole state to reach sensible decisions for all the residents of Connecticut. He is a person who believes in communication, collaboration, and compromise not the partisan politics that gridlocks Connecticut and Washington D.C.

Matt is a man who listens to others’ thoughts and ideas. We need people in the legislature who are willing to listen and learn, not stand on a party line because the party leadership demands they vote in a certain way.
