The Voice That’s Needed

The words “I am voting for” are difficult for me to utter. Growing up, my parents taught us that this decision was a private one, that what you voted for was your business. We were taught there was no separation of parties, but instead that of ideas and beliefs. We were taught that there are some Republican politicians who have great ideas and plans to do the right thing for the people and that there are some Democratic politicians who have great ideas and plans to do the right thing for the people. It was never about either/or. It was who was right for the job. It was about who was going to the right thing.

As I have gotten older and seen the political divide grow larger, it saddens me to think that is what I will be leaving my children: a divide so large it’s irreparable unless we begin to heal it now. I believe and I say with conviction, “I am voting for Jason Adler,” because I believe he understands this very notion of how this political divide needs to be brought together, to fix the problems and not point fingers.

I believe that he will be the voice that is needed to advocate for the people and small businesses. I believe he is the right person for the job. I believe that Jason Adler is the right person to be state representative in the 35th District.
