Supporting a Brighter Future

The choice in the election for the 23rd House District is a no-brainer for me. State Representative Devin Carney has been a great advocate for Westbrook and our shoreline communities. As tax collector for Westbrook, I talk to people all the time about how expensive Connecticut is to live, work, and own a business. People are frustrated and we need fiscal champions like Devin, who will always put us taxpayers first.

Devin has been a tireless advocate for our small towns and our local schools. When Governor Dannel Malloy threatened to increase costs on our municipalities, Devin stood up for taxpayers and defeated these proposals. Westbrook is continuously targeted by many in Hartford because they believe Westbrook taxpayers should pay more. Thankfully, Devin has always been there to defend us from this sort of mentality.

As a parent, I want my daughter to be able to live and work in Connecticut, but that is only possible if our economic outlook is improved. I trust Devin and I know he will continue to try to make Connecticut a better state for everyone. I hope your readers will join me in supporting a brighter future in Connecticut by voting for Devin Carney on Nov. 6.
