10/31/2018 08:00 AMWe are writing out of our concern for our community in the upcoming election. The Connecticut River Valley, now more than ever, needs leaders who will work in a bipartisan manner to stop gridlock and get results.
As everyone knows Connecticut is experiencing a financial crisis decades in the making. If we are to survive as a community, we must be able to work with other communities in our state and hold our state government accountable. We believe both Norm Needleman for State Senate and Christine Palm for state representative will bring new ideas and sensible bipartisan leadership to Hartford, protecting our communities fiscally by fighting to bring as much of our tax dollars back to our towns, and safeguarding our communities roads, bridges, and schools.
Local Democrats are working tirelessly to improve and grow our communities. We want to see Deep River, Chester, and Essex continue to prosper like in years past and we need your readers’ help because together we are stronger. If Deep River, Chester, and Essex are to succeed, we need to elect local representatives who are not beholden to right-wing, national Super PACs and dark money, and/or are looking for their next job.
The Connecticut River Valley will be best served electing Norm Needleman and Christine Palm, Democratic candidates who are experienced successful business owners and knowledgeable and effective leaders. They will both work tirelessly, year in and year out, to sustain and protect all of our rights and our towns interests.
