Persistence and Problem-Solving Skills

On Nov. 6, Madison voters will have an opportunity to elect a courageous young man named Adam Greenberg as our next state senator. Adam is a Guilford native and former Major League Baseball player. As a relatively young man, Adam has already learned many lessons in the importance of perseverance as a necessary attribute for success in life. One of the first times Adam learned about the importance of perseverance in life was when he was hit in the head by a pitch in his first time up as a Major League Baseball player. Unfortunately, Adam’s dream of becoming a Major League Baseball player was ended by this errant pitch.

After a long and difficult period of recovery from his baseball injury, Adam turned his life to other pursuits. Adam became a well-known author of a book on perseverance based on his own experiences, a motivational speaker, and an owner of a national health food company. Adam and his young family have also put down roots in our area, which has given them a strong commitment to improving the lives of the residents of our Senate district.

There is no doubt that solving the fiscal problems of Connecticut will be a strong challenge for anyone elected to the state legislature this year. However, few people have demonstrated the perseverance required for solving problems that Adam has already displayed at a young age. Adam will use the persistence and problem-solving skills that he has learned to significantly improve our state’s mediocre financial condition. I encourage your readers to join me in voting for Adam Greenberg for State Senate on Nov. 6.
