Isn’t Afraid to Stand Up

People have asked me why I support and actively campaign for our state representative, James Albis (D-99). One of the main reasons is James knows that it can be hard for families to retire in Connecticut. That’s why he has taken on special interests and the pharmaceutical companies to keep prescription drug costs down. He sponsored a bill this year that created transparency in the pharmaceutical industry. No longer can companies jack up the cost of medicine without providing actual benefits to patients.

As for the notion that Representative Albis is beholden to a party, James was the only Democrat to submit a bill to eliminate the income tax on pensions, which may soon become law. These step do help those concerned with retiring here. James truly understands the difficulties our families face and isn’t afraid to stand up for what is right.

This is just one reason I was honored to nominate James at his convention and I will be proudly supporting him on Nov. 6. A vote for James Albis is a vote to protect East Haven families.
