A Delight to Work With

Let me get right to the point. I am voting for State Representative Sean Scanlon (D-98) and State Senate candidate Christine Cohen to represent me in the State Legislature, and I encourage your readers to do the same.

Sean has done an outstanding job in the State House, is now well known in our community, and deserves another term to continue his work concerning health, environmental, transportation issues, and much more. Even though he is running unopposed, he nevertheless is putting forth the energy required as if he had an opponent. That is typical of Sean and this trait is well respected in Hartford.

Christine Cohen is less well known, but, having served with her on the Board of Education, I can attest to her work ethic, her financial acumen, and her knowledge of the issues. Joining the Board of Education presents the new member with a formidable learning curve. I was honored to partially serve as her mentor in this process. Christine is a quick study; she made the learning curve less steep, and before long was mentoring others. Before much longer, she was chairing committees. She always did her homework and was an active participant and a delight to work with. She will apply these same talents to her work in the State Senate.

I encourage your readers to vote for Sean Scanlon and Christine Cohen this Nov. 6.
