A Change in Direction

Democratic domination of Connecticut has been a disaster, and is killing our economy. We used to be the envy of other states and people came here to share our prosperity, but bad governance has driven us down close to “worst in nation” in most rankings. Young people, retirees, and people seeking career advancement need to look elsewhere.

All this shows we must have a change in direction or the rot will continue, but this needs someone with a new approach and a different mindset. This person is State Senate candidate Adam Greenberg.

After our state’s biggest tax increases ever, our economy is in tatters and our deficit has ballooned. Now some propose tolls on interstates and major highways—another huge tax that will drive more people away, not to mention the unintended consequence of clogging side roads with traffic avoiding tolls.

Connecticut is seen as one of the least-business-friendly states in the nation, but Adam will come with a fresh approach and will not be captive to ideology. He will use his independence, common sense, and the same skills that enabled him to build a successful nationwide business and he will make our state attractive to employers, thereby rebuilding Connecticut’s economy.

Only when it is clear we are back on an economic up-turn will businesses want to stay, or relocate here and create the jobs and prosperity we so clearly need. Only when this is so will we see the outflow of residents, especially our young people, cease. We need to build prosperity here in Connecticut, and electing more people to march in lockstep with the present leadership is clearly not the answer.

I encourage your readers, for all Connecticut residents’ sake, to elect Adam Greenberg to 12th District State Senate seat on Nov. 6.
