One of Connecticut’s most important resources is our outstanding public school system. U.S. News & World Report ranks Connecticut’s school system number five in the U.S. and number one in college readiness. Christine Cohen, who is running for State Senate in the 12th District, is committed to make certain that Connecticut’s schools continue to hold this high ranking.

Christine, a member of the Guilford Board of Education, owner of a successful business, and mother of three children, understands the reason we have outstanding schools is because we have outstanding teachers. Outstanding teachers are attracted to Connecticut because we recruit and retain the brightest and best and these teachers deserve salaries and benefits commensurate with their skills and performance.

I am voting for Christine because she will strive to make sure our legislature continues to support our schools, our teachers, and our kids and I’m also voting for Christine because she is a smart, positive, and upbeat and forward-looking woman.

We need Christine Cohen in Hartford. She will make a great senator.
