The Concerns of our Communities

Christine Palm, candidate for state representative for the 36th House District, will have my vote in November. Palm, a first-time candidate, spent more than 10 years at the Capitol and gained recognition as a researcher and policy analyst for Connecticut state legislators. She is known for her steadfast support of women, children, and seniors; for healthcare; and for the economic security of families.

Christine was recently endorsed by our U.S. Congressman, Joe Courtney (D), who in a statement asserted, “I can’t think of anyone better prepared to lead” and further stated he believed that Christine will be a strong leader in the Connecticut General Assembly to address the crucial issues facing our communities.

In recent weeks, Christine also received the extraordinary honor of being one of the Democratic candidates running for state office to be endorsed by President Barack Obama. In his endorsement, he said he was “proud to endorse candidates who weren’t running against something, but for something—to expand opportunity for all of us and to restore dignity, honor, and compassion to public service.”

I hope your readers will take the time to study Christine’s platform or meet her in person to hear why she is running to be our state representative. Her concerns are the concerns of our communities. I believe there is no better choice to represent us.
