Prepared and Capable

I am writing in support of Robin Comey for state representative for the 102nd Assembly District, who is running to serve Branford residents as Lonnie Reed is retiring at the end of her term.

As a nurse who provides end-of-life care for people, I have come to know Robin as someone who understands the hard choices that families face during this difficult time. Robin knows how to be an effective advocate for the needs of the elderly, and I’ve been impressed with her leadership on issues pertaining to women and children as well as Branford’s senior and disabled populations. She has worked hard on important health care issues and was instrumental in helping to pass legislation that holds drug companies accountable for increased prescription drug costs. She is an advocate for affordable home- and community-based care and wants to get to work on the health care challenges Connecticut faces.

I believe she is prepared and capable to work together with other legislators for positive change for our community and our state.

I encourage your readers to come out to vote for Robin Comey on Nov. 6.
