Knowledge, Experience, and Temperament

I have known State Senate candidate Melissa Ziobron for just under a year, but it didn’t take long to realize the type of leader she is. She knows her facts but has the wisdom to learn all sides of the issues before developing the best solutions.

Melissa is an accessible leader who is willing to work for all her constituents in this diverse and geographically challenging district. She has visited all 13 towns and knocked on more than 8,000 doors to meet the residents, learn their unique concerns, and develop winning strategies to best serve their needs. She has attended more than 160 events throughout the district and is always available to learn and help solve the many problems facing our state.

From 2012 to 2018, she served as state representative for the 34th District (East Hampton, East Haddam, and Colchester). In 2017, she was appointed assistant minority leader for the House Republican Caucus, as the result of her tireless effort, creative budget solutions, and willingness to fight for responsible government and lower taxes.

In these fiscally challenging times, we need a leader, like Melissa, with the knowledge, experience, and temperament to control wasteful state spending at the largest Connecticut cities. She has developed bipartisan relationships at the Capitol to help eliminate these problems.

Our less-dense towns and fragile environmental resources need the continued protections that Melissa will continue to defend.

I encourage readers to meet Melissa, visit her website. and learn her solutions before they vote for her on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
