As the outgoing State Representative for Branford’s 102nd District, I encourage my constituents to cast their ballots for Robin Comey to succeed me. Robin is among the hardest working people I know. She is a small business owner, an RTM member, a successful fundraiser for important community projects, a wife, and a mom of two young children who attend Branford public schools. Robin knows all of the struggles that Connecticut’s families and businesses face because she has experienced them herself. She has used her insights to testify before public hearings in Hartford, helping pass legislation to support education, protect children with life-threatening allergies, and enable seniors to remain in their own homes. Robin has a deep, hands-on knowledge of our district and truly cares about our needs.

Christine Cohen has problem-solving skills we so desperately need in Hartford as our next state senator from the 12th District.

When you observe Christine interacting with people, it becomes abundantly clear that she has what it takes to form bipartisan coalitions to effectively tackle our state’s critical challenges. She knows how to talk to everybody, to listen and learn, to disagree respectfully, and to stand up and fight for her deeply held convictions without going nuclear and turning potential allies into enemies.

As a successful small business owner, Board of Education member, community supporter, and stellar wife and mother, Christine has long been a highly productive member of our shoreline family. She will do a superb job of representing us all in Hartford.

On Nov. 6, I am voting for Robin Comey and Christine Cohen. I hope your readers will, too.

State Representative Lonnie Reed (D-102)
