Standing Up for Employers

Jump-starting our state’s economy starts by creating an environment that taxpayers and business owners can trust. Unfortunately, most politicians in Hartford don’t understand that continuing to punish business owners with more regulations and taxes will only mean fewer businesses on main street and fewer major employers.

The good thing for us is our State Representative Jesse MacLachlan (R-35) is a strong supporter of job creators. He has been endorsed by the Connecticut Business & Industry Association and the National Federation of Independent Business for his strong support of businesses for standing up for employers and fighting tax increases by Governor Dannel Malloy.

Just this year, Jesse blocked new tax proposals like the proposed tax on cell phones, restaurants, and tires; the miles you drive; and the sales tax.

Regaining the confidence of businesses doesn’t start by proposing burdensome taxes and Jesse MacLachlan understands this. We need to send someone who has this mindset to Hartford and that is why I will be supporting Jesse MacLachlan on Nov. 6.
