A Champion for Women

State Representative Noreen Kokoruda (R-101) has always been a champion for women of all ages. She has supported efforts to help women in business development. She understands that women are equally interested in the financial health of Connecticut and that many women are also providers for their families.

Noreen took a leadership role in ensuring that our state protect women’s health including reproductive services. This is why she was endorsed by Planned Parenthood. She also led efforts to educate all people about the sex trafficking crisis in Connecticut. I am proud that Noreen joined her female colleagues pushing through strong legislation to protect our college students from sexual assault.

From the day she arrived in Hartford more than seven years ago, Noreen has reached across the aisle and is recognized as a leader in the bipartisan women’s caucus. We all know that she works for all of us, but I’m especially pleased how she has stood up for all women.
