Making Life Better

State government’s reckless taxing and spending can make you crazy, but in the 35th House District, we got lucky. We’ve got Jesse MacLachlan as our state representative. He’s not a union president like his opponent, and he’s not owned by special interests. He’s a decent man, committed to his community, and trying his best to do a very hard job. Day after day, he’s quietly but persistently making life better for us back home.

Jesse MacLachlan opposes the Hartford status quo of union deals and special interests that are running and ruining Connecticut. He’s got the skills to form coalitions, cross the aisle, and challenge the Hartford government class status quo that doesn’t work for you or me.

He’s committed to an affordable Connecticut and creating a sustainable budget that serves retirees, families and young workers. He advocates caps on state spending and borrowing, and has said “No” to new taxes. He understands that pension reform is critical and overdue. He prioritizes debt reduction.

The choice for Clinton, Westbrook, and Killingworth seems simple to me. Do we elect a union president and maintain the Hartford status quo, or do we return Jesse MacLachlan to continue his good work? On Nov. 6, I’m voting for Jesse MacLachlan.
