Level the Playing Field

My thanks go to State Representative Jesse MacLachlan (R-35) for all of his hard work and dedication at the State Capitol on issues important to women. He advocated for changes to two laws—changes that offer overdue fairness and safety precautions to women.

His work to pass the gender equity pay gap bill helps end a pattern of lower wages for women. He worked to amend Connecticut’s dual arrest law in order to better protect the safety of women who are caught in the terror and horrors of domestic violence.

He’s working at the Capitol to level the playing field for women. As a working woman and as a mother to three daughters, this means a lot to me. For that I wish to thank him and offer him my vote on Election Day.
