Experience Counts

Melissa Ziobron is running for state senator for the 33rd District. Readers can visit www.melissaziobron.com for her record, accomplishments, experience, and memberships.

Serving three terms in the General Assembly and the current ranking member of the Appropriations Committee, she made sure that Education Cost Sharing funds were restored to our schools. Melissa will serve full-time and her voting record stands at 100 percent.

Lauded by her peers for state budget acumen and fighting for lower taxes and responsible government shows leadership as well as being a tough negotiator and having a reputation for open-mindedness and bipartisanship.

In Connecticut, 80 percent of businesses are small and Melissa received the Endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Businesses for her commitment to small businesses and farms.

As a 2017 Connecticut League of Conservation Voters Environmental Champion, she is recognized for leadership throughout the state. Her work for seniors and veterans is outstanding.

When a candidate says he or she has or will vote for or against an issue, Melissa actually does and is instrumental in getting bills passed.

I am voting for Melissa. Experience counts.
