Calm, Fair, and Knowledgeable

I support the re-election of Judge Peter Barrett for the Madison-Guilford Probate Court. The judge of probate is a non-partisan position that requires a person of character who is calm, fair, and knowledgeable, like Peter Barrett. Peter has all of the qualities necessary to be a good probate judge, qualities like integrity, experience, and the ability to research and interpret the law. Over the past four years, he has shown great respect and appreciation for the position he holds and for the attorneys and residents who come to the court.

These same qualities resulted in probate judges from many districts reaching out to Peter over the years, before he ever became a judge himself, to represent children and the elderly in sensitive situations brought before their courts. Peter is very respected among members of the judiciary and the bar, having earned the highest rating for ethics and legal proficiency by the premier lawyer rating service, Martindale-Hubbell.

For these reasons, I will vote to re-elect Judge Peter Barrett on Nov. 6 and encourage your readers to do the same.
