A New Approach

We must stop the rot in Hartford and save Connecticut from sliding even further down the economic spiral. To do this we cannot keep electing people with the same ideas; we need a new approach. We need an honest perspective from someone without any allegiance to the present leadership, which has brought this once-great state to its knees.

We need Adam Greenberg for state senator in this 12th District.

Surveys show that most of us believe our state is going in the wrong direction and statistics tell us we are last in the nation to enjoy post recession growth, with our real estate values depressed while nationwide they are booming.

Ever increasing taxes and unstable business conditions have caused major employers to leave the state, taking jobs and tax revenue elsewhere. People are also leaving, at an average rate of 80 per day. We have clearly reached the point of diminishing returns, and without a change in direction our decline will continue.

If our present leaders have their way, they will attempt to tax us into prosperity, but clearly that will make matters worse. Tolls are also proposed, and would be a disaster for Connecticut and impose a new tax on all of us, as they will not just be on the borders but on all restricted access highways.

Connecticut is in trouble and we need new leadership. Adam will seek better ways to do things, root out waste (there is much to be found), and make our state business friendly to encourage employers to bring their jobs and prosperity here.

My husband and I love living here and really want to stay; I hope all your readers will help heal Connecticut by voting for Adam Greenberg on Nov. 6.
