Connecticut taxes and utilities are among the highest in the nation. For many families and businesses, the state has become unaffordable due to decades of state government overspending and borrowing. After 20 years here Clinton, I plan to stay, retire, and see my grandchildren prosper in this beautiful state.

Our hope lies with realistic leaders like State Representative Jesse MacLachlan (R-35), who always put taxpayers first and will continue to fight reckless budget cuts for the worthiest programs. He proposed real solutions to solving the budget crisis, restored funding for the Medicare Savings Program, and passed tax relief for seniors on fixed incomes. Jesse fought against unfair utility company practices.

Jesse’s solutions specifically address Connecticut fiscal problems. He shares our community values and will fight to make Connecticut a better place to live, work, and retire.
