Every Vote is Important

Will you need an absentee ballot? Do you have a student away at college who will need one?

Election day is Nov. 6. By now, your readers probably know if they will be in town that day. If they can’t get to Town Hall during the hours the polls are open, they’ll need an absentee ballot, and they’ve got to get it ahead of election day.

Getting an absentee ballot is a two-step process. First you need an application. In Clinton, voters can either go to www.ClintonCT.org and print one or request one at the Town Clerk’s Office, then complete the application, sign it, and return it to the town clerk.

An absentee ballot will be mailed to voters once the town clerk determines that their application has been filled out completely and properly. Voters then fill out their ballot and mail or bring it to the town clerk. It must be received before election day, Nov. 6.

Every vote is important. Let’s make sure everyone votes!
