Engaging, Energetic, and Mature

When I met John-Michael Parker early this year, I was impressed by his genuine interest in others. He is one of the best listeners I have ever met. Over the course of 2018, I have gotten to know John-Michael. He is an engaging, energetic, and mature young man who believes it is time for his generation to step up and take responsibility for the future. He knows this community well because he grew up in Madison, and he sincerely cares about the needs of the people of the 101st House District.

At Yale University, John-Michael studied neurobiology, then taught 4th grade science and helped start an education non-profit working to empower young people in high schools for success in life. His affinity for science has endowed him with good analytical skills and he has the intellect needed to thoroughly study and analyze complex problems and weigh solutions, something we need more of in Hartford. As a former scientist myself, I comprehend this firsthand.

John-Michael understands the need to grow our economy by becoming more business-friendly through repealing the Business Entity Tax, for example, and through smart investments in transportation, education, and job training. He understands the need to make the cost of healthcare insurance and prescription drugs more transparent and fair, and to lighten the healthcare burden on businesses; and the need to protect our quality of life by continuing the high value we place on education, having common sense gun regulations, protecting the environment and ecology of our region, making property taxes reasonable, and having tax-free pension and social security for seniors.

In Hartford, John-Michael will become for Madison and Durham what Sean Scanlon is for Guilford and Branford. I encourage your readers to join me in voting for John-Michael Parker!
