Choice is Heartily Commended

I am writing to applaud your choice of John Saville as the Guilford Courier person of the week. I met Mr. Saville several years ago in Planet Fitness, where he inspired me to continue to work out and maintain my fitness. He had no idea he was doing that, because our interactions were always superficial—an energetic hello from John and a meager hello from me. Regardless John always greeted me with a smile and a firm handshake.

Fast forward several years and I moved to Guilford where I noticed John in church. His constant, enthusiastic greetings and kind words to all around him made the religious service better. People even commented to me, with huge smiles on their faces, during the service what a wonderful person John is. I knew he volunteered he volunteered for the St. Georges Men’s Group, but had no idea about of all the other public service John performed.

Your choice is heartily commended and deserving—thank you.
