Brought the Legislature Together

We are at a crossroads in Connecticut where strong leadership is needed more now than ever. State Representative Vincent Candelora (R-86) has been such a leader, having served Guilford and surrounding towns in the legislature for the past 12 years. He currently serves as deputy leader in the House.

At a time when Republicans and Democrats were at an impasse, Vinny was one of eight leaders who brought the Legislature together and negotiated a budget that did not raise taxes and phased out income tax on pensions and social security, restored millions of education dollars to our town, restored our Medicaid savings plan for our seniors, and protected funding for our developmental disabled.

At a time when politics have become so divisive, we need a leader like Vinny who will work in a bipartisan fashion to improve Connecticut’s economy. I encourage your readers to join me in voting for Vincent Candelora on Nov. 6.
